In this series of three two-hour workshops, we will explore the many sounds around us using music, words, and nature. We explore how we can use sounds as sources for contemplative practice. This can help deepen our awareness of our environment, our relationship to nature and other beings that we share space with. Sound is one of the first senses that we use from before birth as we grow in our mother’s womb. It is a highly developed sense that guides us through our daily living. By playing attention we can open our conscious awareness.
These workshops can be taken as singles or as a full series with each session building on the one before. We will use instruments, vocals and movement to explore the amazing sense of hearing. All levels of practice are welcome. The beginner to the seasoned practitioner of meditation and contemplation, each will be welcomed and challenged.
