MLK Day - Hatha Celebration Class with Active Peace Yoga
Audre Lorde reminds us that taking care of ourselves is essential for social justice work, societal healing and personal transformation. It is self-preservation to do the hard work of re-imagination, not a self-care platitude rooted in a pampered existence shielded from adversity.
In honor of social justice warriors and activists of all stripes, this practice will be accompanied by music and rooted in liberation - mental, physical, spiritual, emotional… As such, we reclaim our agency and help others do the same.
